BROM OFFER FLETCHER NEW DEAL

English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion have agreed to offer Darren Fletcher a new deal, according to reports. Talks between both parties are expected to begin in a few weeks. Tony Pulis has had a decent start to the new campaign.

The management values the contribution of Fletcher, so would offer him an extension. The Albion wants to tie all the important players to the club on a long term basis.

Fletcher’s contract with West Brom demands that his deal be extended when he plays in a certain amount of Premier League games. The club is ready to offer the Scotland international a better package as the 32-year old has made an impact since joining on a free transfer from Man United last year.

Foster Says That West Brom Deserved At Least a Point against Everton

West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster claimed that his team did not deserve to lose against Everton during the weekend.

The Merseyside outfit managed a comeback 2-1 victory over the Midlands team. After the home team were able to get in front within the opening 10 minutes throughMcAuley, they managed to hold their own for much of the game before Mirallas came up with an equaliser just before half-time. It was an excellent goal by the Belgian international as it involved a passing move that West Brom simply could not live with.

WEST BROM SUFFER DEFEAT TO TORQUAY UNITED

West Bromwich Albion suffered a 2-1 defeat in the hands of a non-league side Torquay United as they prepared ahead of the new season.

The pre season friendly played on Monday night showed the height they have to reach in the coming term.

Goal keeper Ben Foster was beaten from a distance as Callum Hall put the team ahead just after the half time break. The host returned breathing fire and soon got their second through a Brett Williams shot. Darren Fletcher sent a pass which Matt Philips was able to control before scoring ten minutes out. The tried to get the equalizer but couldn’t as the game ended embarrassingly for them at Plainmoor. The defeat was demoralizing as they hope to start the new Premier League campaign next week when it kicks off.

Is Ben Foster’s international career over ?

West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster is 33 years old and despite playing an important role for his club, the experienced shot-stopper was not included in Roy Hodgson’s squad for the 2016 Euro’s.

Joe Hart, Fraser Forster and Tom Heaton were all of the goal-keepers that Roy Hodgson decided to call up as they have the chance to represent Englanda t the international stage and Ben Foster was left without any place for his national side.

From the looks of it, Ben Foster is not going to have any other chance to play for England as the next upcoming 35 years old and there are other shot-stoppers that have secured the goalkeeping position of England which is currently being occupied by Manchester City’s Joe Hart.

Injury will keep Ben Foster out of the 2016 Euro’s

Ben Foster is a consistent starter for West Bromwich Albion, ever since he joined the English club back on July of 2011; the 33 year old shot-stopper has been a regular starter.

In his debut season with West Bromwich Albion, Foster made 30 appearances and he has consistently been a high amount of appearances, in the latest season however his time in the pitch was more limited and this was mainly due to an injury which kept him out of pitch for a significantly long period of time.

The injury that Ben Foster was suffering from earlier in the 2015-16 Premier League season was an anterior cruciate ligament and it’s because of this recent injury that Foster was not named in Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the upcoming 2016 Euro’s.

FOSTER UNLIKELY TO MOVE TO CITY

West Bromwich Albion Goalkeeper Ben Foster is not likely to accept the move to Manchester City to fill the space of an English player as third choice goalie.

Ben Foster concedes two goals as Arsenal beat West Bromwich Albion

Ben Foster conceded two goals in the match against Arsenal at the Emirates on Thursday. The game played in a relatively empty Emirates Stadium ended 2-0 for the Gunners.

As expected, it was Arsenal who enjoyed the lion’s share of the possession, and West Bromwere happy to let them play in front of them.

The first goal came in the 6th minute when Alexis Sanchez received the ball from Mesut Ozil, avoided a challenge from Sandro and fired a powerful shot beyond the reach of Ben Foster. This was the goal that Emirates needed to lift the atmosphere.

Blackburn Rovers relief by getting back into International Matches

The Blackburn Rovers have played a total of eleven games in the last five weeks and finally now, they have got some relief because of international break and Paul Lambert, the boss, is pretty pleased about it.

Rovers actually had a win at Griffin Park the other day which was their first on the ground of an opposition in a long time.
So, ideally, a manager would have liked the team to take that confidence and momentum ahead rather than being glad about the break, but, in this case, one can easily understand why Lambert is welcoming the break with both hands.

YACOB IMPRESSES AGAINST UNITED

Salomon Rondon might be the person who is being talked about the most and is being praised for striking that lone goal in the Baggies’ previous win over Manchester United, but, according to the coach Tony Pulis, the contribution of Claudio Yacob shouldn’t go unnoticed as he is also somebody who did great work for the team in the playmaking department.

Yacob

It was after a long duration of three decades that West Bromwich Albion won against the Red Devils at home and according to Pulis, it was Yacob who laid the platform of that historical win with his solid game in the midfield.

Ben Foster says that he is extremely happy to see the progress made by Jack Butland

West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster says that he is extremely happy to see the progress made by Jack Butland of Stoke City.

The former Birmingham City goalkeeper has been playing for Mark Hughes into last few years and he has managed to establish as a first choice at the club following the departure of Asmir Begovic. He has been able to retain his spot in a Premier League team despite intense competition and his lack of experience. This says a lot about his quality and it has not gone unnoticed at the international level, asButland is set to be named as the reserve goalkeeper for Joe Hart at the Euro 2016.
