FOSTER RULED OUT TILL NEXT YEAR

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster is unlikely to play again this year after he picked up a groin injuryin training ahead of the recent Premier League clash at Leicester City. Until the Leicester City game penultimate Saturday,Ben Foster had been a regular in the Watford goal since Italian tactician Claudio Ranieri became their new manager. Watford had turned to ex-Leicester City and Chelsea boss Ranieri after Xisco Munoz was sacked two months ago.

Since his injury, Ben Foster has now missed two games in the Premier League. He was absent for the Leicester City, Chelsea and Manchester City games.
Watford started the season with Austrian national team shot stopper Daniel Bachmann before Ben Foster displaced him as the number one goalkeeper for the Hornets. Bachmann has been in goal since Foster sustained the aforementioned groin problem.

Newly promoted Premier League side Watford have confirmed the arrival of Claudio Ranieri as their new manager following the dismissal of Spanish tactician Xisco. Italian manager Ranieri was made the new Watford earlier this week after Xisco lost his job on the back of the 1-0 defeat at the hands of Leeds United in the Hornets’ last league game last week Saturday.

Ben Foster made his first appearance of the season for Watford and he was able to keep a clean sheet as the Hornets progressed into the third round of the Carabao Cup. Ben Foster was in goal as Watford beat Palace 1-0 at home in their second round clash last week.
