West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster claimed that his team did not deserve to lose against Everton during the weekend.

The Merseyside outfit managed a comeback 2-1 victory over the Midlands team. After the home team were able to get in front within the opening 10 minutes throughMcAuley, they managed to hold their own for much of the game before Mirallas came up with an equaliser just before half-time. It was an excellent goal by the Belgian international as it involved a passing move that West Brom simply could not live with.

West Brom were unable to come back into the game, but Foster says that the home team did not deserve to suffer a defeat for the played well throughout the 90 minutes. He says that a draw would have been a fair result. As it is, West Brom’s confidence from the opening day win over Crystal Palace has come crashing down with this defeat. The team will be hoping to recover from this loss when the first Middlesbrough this weekend. Boro have been a surprise package upon their return to the Premier League and West Brom need to be warned.

"I thought we were a bit unlucky to be honest. Neither team deserved to come away losing it.It was a fairly even game with chances at either end, maybe a bit unlucky that we just didn't get the odd nice bobble here and there. We probably didn't finish our chances as well as we could and should have, but fair play to them they're a decent team and they'll do well this season," said Foster. The former Manchester United goalkeeper will be extra motivated to perform well, as he could get an England call-up in place of Joe Hart.
