FOSTER OUT OFLEICESTER CLASH

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster will miss the FA Cup third round tie with hosts Leicester Citydue to injury. Ben Foster has been out of action for some weeks as a result of a hip injury.

Foster has not played for Watfordsince the Manchester United game towards the end of November. He was in goal as Watford secured their best performance of the season till date thanks to the 4-1 win over his former team, Manchester United. Josh King and Ismaila Sarr scored as the Hornets raced into a two-goal lead at the end of the first half. Ben Foster conceded the Manchester United goal at the start of the second half with Dutchman Donny Van De Beek getting the goal five minutes into the second half having come on as a half-time substitute. Watford then scored twice late in the game through substitute Joao Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis to secure a memorable win against the Red Devils.

Apart from Foster, Watford could be without eleven players for the Leicester City clash. Four of those players are on national team duty at the AFCON tournament which starts in Cameroon this weekend. The four AFCONplayers are Imran Louza, William Troost-Ekong and the injured Ismaila Sarr.

Sarr has been injured since the Manchester United game in Novemberand his situation led to a row between the Hornets and Senegal. In the end, he was released for national team duty for assessment.

Nigerian attacker Emmanuel Dennis is the leading goalscorer at Watford and he won't be involved against the Foxes this weekend after he picked up a knock against Tottenham Hotspur in the league last weekend. Watford manager Claudio Ranieri revealed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the FA Cup third round tie with Leicester City that Dennis won’t feature during the game as he's been saved for subsequentmatches.
