Ben Foster: Tottenham Have Been Our Best Opponent this Season

Goalkeeper Ben Foster conceded four goals in the Premier League for only the first time since October in the 4-0 loss against Tottenham.

After the game, the West Brom goalkeeper claimed that Spurs were the best team that they have faced in the division this season. Foster saw striker Harry Kane score a hat-trick to take his league tally to 13 goals in 17 appearances. He has really been a force to reckon with in the last two months. Despite Foster being one of the best goalkeeping options out there, he was unable to prevent West Brom’s huge defeat.

Manager Tony Pulis will take consolation from this loss as it did not hurt their chances of remaining in contention for a Europa league spot. West Brom are 10 points behind Manchester United in the table, which is a huge positive for the club that was struggling with the threat of relegation when Pulis came to the club. Even though the style of football may not be attractive, the club has certainly gone from strength to strength under the regime of the former Stoke City manager.

West Brom have an opportunity to bounce back straightaway when they take on Sunderland in a home match. The format the hawthorns has been a major factor behind West Brom challenging for the top six places.

"In all fairness that's probably the best team I have played against.Fair play to them, it's just one we will have to move on from. We went three at the back to try and get back into the game but sadly we couldn't get going. We have to lick our wounds and forget about it as quickly as possible. Everyone has their ups and downs. We need to get over this one and move on to next weekend's game against Sunderland,” said Foster.
