Ben Foster saves West Bromwich from defeat

West Bromwich Albion hosted Tottenham Hotspur for the 8th Premier League match of the season and this match concluded in a 1-1 draw even though there was 1 team that dominated the game from start till the very end.

Tottenham Hotspur had the upper hand over West Bromwich Albion in just about everything as the team of Mauricio Pochettino enjoyed having more possession, shots on target, completed passes and just about everything else.

Despite having so much control, Tottenham had to settle with only 1 point from this match and this was mostly due to the sublime performance from the 33 year old shot-stopper Ben Foster who made a number of amazing saves which kept his team in the game.

In the early stages of the match, Ben Foster had to deny a number of shots from entering his net which were launched from a number of Tottenham Hotspur players including: Bamidele Ali, Christian Eriksen and Ben Davies.

As the match progressed, Tottenham Hotspur continued pushing forward with their offensive forces but Ben Foster maintained his superb form and did not concede a goal until the 89th minute and the match shortly after reached it’s end as West Bromwich Albion had already scored thanks to a goal from NacerChadli which was scored at the 82nd minute.

After the match was over, the head coach of West Bromwich Albion Tony Pullis took his time to praise the effort that Ben Foster put in that match, even though he did concede a goal in the last few minutes of the game it still was an amazing performance from the English goal-keeper as Tony Pullis said:

"If you look at it as a whole we've got Ben to thank in the first half. I thought we still looked as though half a dozen of the players were still away on international duty. We never got up to the ball, we allowed Tottenham to play. They changed it as well, they were very clever in the way they did it, and they stretched us and then got ChristianEriksen and Alli in the little pockets, so that caused us a few more problems’’
